The global company Nidec is the new tenant in Sofia Airport Center, entering the Bulgarian market for the first time

Sofia Airport Center signed a contract with Nidec Elesys Europe, a Japanese manufacturer and distributor of electric motors and a subsidiary of Nidec Corporation. The company was founded in 1973 and is now entering the Bulgarian market for the first time.

Nidec Group's global network includes more than 300 companies in over 40 countries, united by a high level of individual expertise and a commitment to sustainable development.

The president of Nidec Elesys is Mr. Takashi FURUHASHI based in Japan. Nidec Elesys Europe will design inverters for hybrid and fully electric vehicles - e-Traction - in the premises rented at the Sofia Airport Center.

In 2023, the number of engineers employed by the company in Bulgaria is expected to reach 100.

The signing of the contract between Sofia Airport Center and Nidec Elesys Europe is indicative of the two companies' shared vision towards high corporate responsibility and a greener future. Sofia Airport Center's LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification assures all tenants that SAC follows a system of successful eco-friendly practices. The synergy between SAC and Nidec guarantees employees a perfectly balanced working environment to the highest global standards.

The Sofia Airport Center business complex includes 47,000m². of offices and logistics buildings. Tenants in the complex are companies that are world business leaders in their respective fields.

SAC's location guarantees a new, different business environment. The complex has a huge park, which contributes to the harmony between nature and business. The 5,000 sq. m. park includes a picturesque lake inhabited by colourful Japanese carp, symbolizing success, progress, and achieving high goals. The park also features high-tech gazebos, which can be used for outdoor recreation and lunch or business meetings. A state-of-the-art, outdoor gym located on the property is also available to tenants.

In addition to the outdoor workspaces, Sofia Airport Center has incorporated nature inside the buildings, too. The cutting-edge Flex-R shared workspace is also available to tenants. It offers 50 workstations, free internet, and a conference room, while resembling a botanical garden, with a ceiling over 15 metres high.
